Wander: to step off the grid into the unknown.
Oh, how we long for a map to show us the way in life - to reveal the thoroughfares or side streets to get to that place we are sure we are supposed to be. We assume this journey will be a straight shot from here to there, even though we don’t know where there is.
Spiritual direction invites us to step off the “spiritual” map we once navigated, to wander in the weeds, and to explore unmarked paths. As we do, we often find we end up in a place we never imaged but realize we always needed, for as the poet TRH Blue writes, “Maps don’t lead to holy ground.”
As a spiritual director, it is my privilege to be a companion on your spiritual journey. What does this companioning look like? It looks like us developing a consistent and faithful presence over time, where you and I listen and notice the movement of the Divine in your life.
Helpful Details
We meet every 4-6 weeks via Zoom or in-person if you’re local to Portland, OR, and conditions are conducive.
Sessions last 60-70 minutes and a fee of $85 is due upon session completion. A student discount is available.
Payments are made through PayPal or Venmo.
An initial 30-minute “check it out” session is available free of charge.
